Our 2025 Beginning Beekeeping class, Saturday, March 8th, was a huge success.

If you are still interested in learning about beekeeping, we are also compiling a waiting list for consideration of a second class later this Spring.

The Central Valley Beekeepers Association 2025 Spring Introductory Beekeeping class was March 8th.

This was a day long class on bees and beekeeping from 9 AM to 4:30 PM.

The all-day class presented in-depth information for beginning beekeepers. We discussed the ins and outs of beekeeping and how to get started.
What equipment do you need.
Where do you get bees.
How to manage bee infections and other concerns.
There were demonstrations showing how to open and examine the hive. Every student had a chance to get some hands on experience and looks for queens (and other sights) in the hive!

Keep an eye on this page for upcoming classes and other events.

Let us know if you are interested in our follow-up class for beginner/intermediate beekeeping.
