Total beginner wanting to build and become a bee keeper in Fresno and Madera Ranchos
Hi Gary. We recently had an “intermediate” beekeeping class and have just started planning out spring class for next year. It will (tentatively) be on March 2nd, 2024. If you’re interested, I will add you to the mailing list to be notified when the class becomes open for registration.
Also, feel free to come to any of the Central Valley Beekeepers Association monthly meetings. They are generally held on the third Thursday of each month and are open to all. Our next meeting is scheduled for October 19th. Check the information here.
Hi, Will you be having a beginners class before the year ends? I would like to learn how to keep and protect bees. Plus all the other great things that come with these amazing insects. What is the cost for your membership?
Hi Dee.
We usually only have a Beginner’s Beekeeping Class in the Spring. The next class is scheduled for March 8th, 2025. If you would like to be notified when registration opens, we can do that.
Also, if you want to get more information about beekeeping in general, you are welcome to come to any of our monthly meetings.
Let us know if there’s anything else we can help with.
Hello is there a way to sign up for emails for upcoming classes and events?
Actually, this is a good way to do just that. The other is just send an email to info@centralvalleybeekeepers.org with the request and we’ll get you added to the email list. There’s USUALLY a monthly update email about activities, etc. The website itself should also be up to date (depending on how backlogged I get with other work. 🙄) if you regularly check the Events page.
In the meantime, I’ll make sure that you are getting the update emails.
Hope to see you at an event soon
