The Central Valley Beekeepers Association is offering a follow up, hands on, class as a follow up to the introductory class on bees and beekeeping. This “Follow-up” Beekeeping class will provide additional information and hands-on exposure to beekeeping practices. The class is scheduled on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 9 am to 12 pm. Honey Harvesting with CVBA!

The Class will include: Instructions for harvesting honey. When to harvest. How to check that honey is ready to harvest. Equipment needed. Set-up. Honey packaging and required labels. Participate in harvest. One five gallon bucket with lid will be included with payment for harvesting. The class will be free for members, with a $25 fee for non-members.      The charges for harvesting will be $10/super for CVBA members $20/super for non-members
